Outreach

Our Outreach Committee works to support the Missions of the ELCA and areas in crises, Bread for the World, and Habitat for Humanity. 

 

Pantry

The Food Pantry as part of the Greater Rockford Pantry Coalition, is active with the  CROP Hunger Walk, Rockford's Mayor's Hunger Campaigns, and the Rockford/Loves Park Post Office, Union workers' Food Drive.   We are also active with the Northern IL Food Bank.  We  serve all of the Rockford zip codes and other surrounding areas as needed.

 

Hours of operation:

Every Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Closed on holidays. 

           We require a picture ID of the person coming for food.  We also require proof of age and                         address for every member in the household.  Please discuss with registration if this is a           

           problem.

           2 - 3 days of emergency food is given every three weeks to each household.

           View a map to the church -  Park in the parking lot in the rear of the church and enter thru the                  rear door at the top of the ramp.

Even if you're not a member of our congregation, donations of food, time, and money are always welcome to help Emmanuel meet the challenges of the growing need in Rockford.
