Rockford Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation, Inc. (RAASE)

Initiative with Emmanuel Lutheran Church

The mission of RAASE, a not-for-profit organization, is in part, “. . . to end the demand for sexually exploited individuals through preventative measures, survivor protection, accountability of violators, and community engagement”.

 Emmanuel has been called to support the organization in its effort to battle this neighborhood, community, state, national and international problem.

Extensive renovation of an Emmanuel property has taken place, to provide a drop-in center for the exploited.  This became possible through the leadership and direction of the co-founders of RAASE, its Board of Directors, and their securing of financial and volunteer resources.  Please call the church office for more information about volunteering.

Claudette Pirrello: Certified Integral Yoga Instructor, with training in Para Yoga, along with studies in various other styles of yoga including Anusara, Kriya, and Kripalu. Classes are held at Monday 6:00 pm and Thursday noon at Emmanuel. Contact Claudette at 815.222.9761.
